RADAR Workshop
Invitation: 1st RADAR-Workshop, 16th September 2014
Location: Center for Art and Media (ZKM), Lorenzstraße 19, D-76135 Karlsruhe, Germany
The development of appropriate infrastructures for preserving and publishing digital research data has become a major challenge in recent years. To make sure growing data volumes will be available for re-use, research communities call for data management platforms which allow an active curation, preservation and citable publication of scientific data. The aim of the RADAR project (Research Data Repository) is to set up such a research data infrastructure that ensures a sustainable data preservation and publication. In the 1st RADAR-Workshop we will inform about the state-of-the-art after the first year of the project, and report on planned, developing and upcoming RADAR-services. In this context, we also aim to provide a constructive discussion environment for stakeholders from scientific institutes, expert organisations and publishing houses, to ensure that the RADAR-infrastructure will be developed according to the needs of the present and future research landscape.
